ALTEN is looking for a Process Engineer for a digitalization project within chemical production at a leading Life Science company in Uppsala.
Are you a driven process engineer with experience in quality, improvement work, and working in regulated environments? Do you want to lead the next phase of digitalizing production processes within a global Life Science company? Then this could be your next challenge. We are now looking for a Process Engineer for a long-term project with a leading company in Uppsala, where you will represent the Process Improvements organization in a strategic digitalization initiative linked to PAS-X and digital batch records.

THE ROLE
You will represent Process Improvements in a larger digitalization project where production transitions to digital batch records in PAS-X. The role involves:
- Ensuring requirements gathering for parameters to be documented digitally in PAS-X.
- Updating document structures and relevant documents to harmonize with new workflows.
- Serving as the link between production and the project regarding work procedures, anchoring, and implementation of changes.
- Driving and documenting risk analyses as needed.
- Educating and spreading knowledge to engineers within Process Improvements regarding changes related to digital batch records.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Master of Science degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or similar.
- Experience as a process engineer, focusing on quality, continuous improvement, investigations, and activity management.
- Experience working in regulated environments (documentation, change control, validation).
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English.
- Experience within the Life Science sector.
NICE TO HAVE
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- Chemical production.
- Operational Technology (OT) such as control systems, historians, and MES.
- Change management.
- PAS-X.

- Communicative.
- Good collaboration skills across organizational boundaries.
- Proactive.
DURATION
1-year consulting assignment with possibility of extension, starting in August 2026.
